PRIDE!

Pride is held every year during the month of June. The Lambda Alliance hosts several events as well as participates in the San Francisco Pride Parade. 

We are currently searching for members to assist us with the planning and execution of our San Francisco Pride Parade float for 2024. If that is of interest to you, please let us know here: 

It's currently too early to announce any events we are planning for Pride 2024, but in the meantime, here are some of the events we have held in years past:

Thanks to your support, we won the award for Most Fabulous Contingent in the 2023 San Francisco Pride Parade! We couldn't have done it without the help of everyone who organized the float, came out to be a part of the float, and voted for us.

Serve as an ambassador for Berkeley Lab and its scientific research, Help explain some hands-on demos and displays, Discuss ways that people can engage with and support the Lab (career and internship opportunities), Collect contact information for “Elements”, and Field any questions we get from visitors to our booth.


Decorate for the Parade!

Be a part of the excitement by decorating the Lab’s Pride parade float! Volunteers are needed on Sunday morning to decorate the float.

We hope to have 100 volunteers help us represent the Department of Energy’s collective commitment to diversity in a very public way. You will be marching alongside the Lab’s pride parade float and representing Berkeley Lab. All are welcome to march with us, so please feel free to bring your friends and family to march as a community that supports our commitment to science and diversity.
